We are all accountable, for money, for equipment, for resources for everything almost, nowadays that's true for almost anything. When a disaster strikes, paperwork, protocols, proclamations go into overdrive. While all this happens people need help, shelter, food, water, protection, transport, heavy lifting gear just as examples. Remember Katrina, waiting days for buses, but they got every excuse in the book. On our boards you can post what is needed, where, when etc. The rest of the word can view that info and react quickly. No admin approvals, no declarations, etc. That way the people in the disaster area who need can quickly, easily and efficiently communicate, (providing they can get to the net one way or another) who can offer the best help, quickest, cheapest etc and then quickly make a decision. Saving hours of grief, frustration and acres of paperwork. In short good old common sense.
No need sending 40 tons of blankets when they only need food. More efficient, fast and easy. Just a thought, not a sermon.

A growl from the dark cometh, is it a bird, a plane nay it's the Meandering Troglodyte.
